"CLASH FOR CONTROL, PT 1" (5/5/2001)

At the prison, NADIRA reminds her daddy that their are now 6 Rangers, but no worries RANSIK has got a plan up his sleeve. FRAX goes on once again explaining how the Quantum Control box and the Q-Rex were both lost in a time travel experiment. RANSIK has the idea to go back in time and get it and picks out a mutant from the freezer... Meanwhile ERIC is in Silver Guardian training and notices as the Rangers show up to see him.
They all meet at the top of a building, trying to reclaim the Quantum Morpher. ERIC refuses. They are all interrupted as they hear a sound of a portal opening in the sky... It seems to be COMMANDERCON, the newly unleashed mutant who's mission is to bring the Q-REX to this time period. The Rangers watch from the building top as the mutant makes his way into the portal. ERIC is first to morph and summons the new TF EAGLE.
An awesome vehicle indeed, but WES won't stay behind. WES jumps and morphs and makes it to grab onto the side of the TF Eagle, and they are both headed back in time! WES laying unconcious.. is awaken with the sound of a flying pteradactyl. ERIC informs him that they have went back about 150 million years. Best of all prehistoric creatures begin to come to site of WES!
WES amazed at such view is interruped by ERIC who acting as big shot tells him he doesn't need his help in getting the Q-rex and no mutant is gonna get it. He throws WES harshly to the ground where WES views as a dino hatches from an egg. Suddenly giant footsteps catches their attention.
ERIC and WES run for their lives, unfortunately ERIC becomes trapped and just when the dino is ready to make munchy's out of ERIC, WES arrives to save him only to bring them a dead end. WES is hit by the dino's tail and falls down the humungous cliff!
Trapped once again, ERIC escapes the grasp of the dino running into a cave where the dino eventually can't reach him and leaves. He notices a passageway in deeper in the cave and leaves to investigate. Eventually coming across clues from rock painting showing the Q-rex is somewhere near a volcano.
As WES is stranded in the past, the Rangers in 2001 have no luck in finding him in the databases.... WES while walking comes across the Q-Rex who almost steps on him. He watches as the robotic dino makes his way into his cave... Seeing the mutant he immediately drops in and morphs.
WES appears to be no match and the mutant heads into the cave and puts a device in the middle of the Q-Rex's head to put him under his control... As WES is ready to head in to save him, ERIC has arrived and a serious battle between the old pals ensues!
The Q-Rex is summoned and both he and the mutant head back into the time portal heading back to 2001. WES and ERIC notice the hole and run quickly to try and reach it. Unfortunately unstable ground conditions force ERIC to summon the TF Eagle seeming to leave WES behind! As the ground cracks making all hopeless for WES just then does ERIC arrive just in time to save him with his vehicle.
They are headed back to 2001 in the time hole... The Rangers are immediately alerted and so is the prison. The Rangers are first to arrive to the scene...
...watching as Q-Rex lands his stay as well as watch ERIC and WES fly just above them. WES thanks ERIC for saving him but ERIC can only take him off by forcing him off from way up high. The Q-rex is on full assault of the city. ERIC does try and gain control but seems hopeless.
Catching up to WES, the Rangers watch the devastating scene. Atop a building are RANSIK, NADIRA, GLUTO and FRAX enjoying their victory.
