"BODYGUARD IN BLUE" (5/19/2001)
[Season (9) Episode 16 / Series Episode 394]
Mr. Collins holds a press conference revealing his new Quantum Ranger as defense to the city as well as the Silver Guardians. Also the fact that DR. ZASKIN will be researching the Quantum Powers. The Rangers watch from the clock tower which upsets WES. At Bio-Lab Mr. Collins is content to know research of the Quantum Powers will begin promptly as he reveals he wants to discover the secrets of the Power Rangers.
Just as Dr. Zaskin is about to drive off he notices a mutant in his rear mirror. As HOLLY, his daughter walks out to say another goodbye to her father she sees as he's struggling as he's being kidnapped. He orders her to run, but with cyclobots on her trail. She manages to get away and hide in a box until it's safe for her to leave.
At the scene of an accident, LUCAS manages to interfere and bring down a guy acting cruel to a beautiful girl. Before he leaves he ends up giving her a card telling her that he and his friends work for odd jobs. Holly watches from nearby.
As LUCAS boards his vehicle, Holly shows herself offering him to be her bodyguard. ERIC arrives to Bio-Lab to tell that Dr. Zaskin has been kidnapped. As the mutant and NADIRA keep the tied up hostage company, the SILVER GUARDIANS set off on high alert.
LUCAS driving Holly gets the info he needs and pulls over to a phone booth to contact the Rangers to research her address. The Rangers pull up Dr. Zaskin's file and now LUCAS knows to protect her more than he knew. Turning around he notices a batch of cyclobots trying to capture her and runs to her.
Boarding the car as quickly as he can, he immediately takes off. Infuriated after Holly putting him down. Trouble when the mutant catches up to them and jumps in front of the windshield! As Dr. Zaskin still lays hostage, the 4 other Rangers arrive to the scene.... LUCAS continues to try and get the mutant off his windshield eventually does and sends Holly to safety as he heads to fight the mutant.
LUCAS eventually morphs, Holly becomes excited and begins to cheer for LUCAS from behind the bushes. LUCAS is brought down, Holly tries to convince the mutant to not fight LUCAS if she gives him her teddy bear. LUCAS becomes infuriated as he watches Holly saddened at the fact her teddy bear is burning to crisp from the mutants fire.
LUCAS begins to fight fiercer bringing the mutant down and coming to Holly's side congratulates her for actually being more of a bodyguard to him.... The fight for Dr. Zaskin is on at the old warehouse, NADIRA getting her hands on him looses him again once ERIC arrives to the scene.
Scaring NADIRA off, Dr. Zaskin takes off with ERIC first thanking the Rangers. Before ERIC takes off WES makes sure to tell him to take good care of the doctor. Meanwhile LUCAS is stil fighting awesomely. Eventually bringing the mutant down. Just as the other Rangers arrive to help the mutant grows. The Rangers have CIRCUIT send the zords. The SHADOW FORCE Mode Red is formed.
.. Appearing to be getting badly beat... Quantum Ranger arrives in time to have Q-Rex help. The Q-Rex goes to megazord mode and with Max Blizzard and Blizzard Slash attacks from both megazords the mutant is brought back down to small size.... At Bio-Lab Mr. Collins congratulates ERIC and tells him he couldn't have chose a better leader. Before heading out he assures Collins in no way was Dr. Zaskin harmed.
LUCAS brings Holly back home, giving her a replacement teddy bear. Appreciative she heads off to reunite with her father. With final goodbyes, LUCAS has no choice to but to wave happily as well. The Rangers sneaking up on him tease him on reminding him he mentioned she was a pain in the neck. LUCAS tries to play it off but WES reveals he's a softy at heart.
