"TRIP TAKES A STAND" (6/9/2001)
[Season (9) Episode 19 / Series Episode 397]
At the prison, RANSIK is having yet another attack he needs to drink serum for... meanwhile FRAX does the honor choosing the next mutant. Unfortunately a worthless one. The mutant prooves not to want to fight infuriating RANSIK. Almost ready to destroy him FRAX shows that they can force him to fight with a special device. The mutant gets away scared.
The mutant is out causing unecessary chaos. A guy who ends up flipping his vehicle calls the silver guardians and they respond right away. At a warehouse, TRIP seems to be doing a job of fixing a man's electronic devices. The boss seems pleased and gives TRIP some money which contents him.
Suddenly noise from the mutant calling for help gets to TRIP's ears. He watches from far and eventually morphed jumps in to try and save him. Badly enough the silver guardians have arrived. ERIC morphs and they all throw fire at the cyclobots.
They also try and throw fire at TRIP and the mutant. Eventually FRAX and NADIRA flee leaving ERIC to wonder what TRIP is doing as he takes the mutant away. Unmorphed now TRIP takes Nodacon into hiding. At a good hiding spot TRIP contacts the other Rangers who search through his TF records and alert TRIP he isn't dangerous at all only put in freeze cause of him stealing vegetables. TRIP lets them know that if FRAX finds them he'll destroy him and head out immediately. TRIP makes sure to try and ease the poor mutant.
As the Rangers drive by with their vector cycles, ERIC drives by too... Stubbornly he faces our heroes and says all mutants should be destroyed. Nothing even gets to him as the Rangers try and explain their procedures. Meanwhile with silver guardians on high alert TRIP continues to try and protect Nodacon... unfortunately the mutant goes hay wire as FRAX turns on the device from the prison.
TRIP's morpher damaged... no way the Rangers can contact him they head out in search, but before they do CIRCUIT tells them where he's detected mutant DNA. Suddenly FRAX finds TRIP and the mutant and with the device begins controlling him and making him go nuts... coming to sight of cyclobots the fight is on.
The Rangers arrive in time to help TRIP, but trouble hits as ERIC is now there and even almost blasts TRIP, but WES interfere's the blast with his chrono saber. The Rangers give time for TRIP to get to safety witht he mutant. Face to Face with ERIC the Rangers try to talk sense into him but no luck. ERIC hits WES badly in the stomach and mad sets off vowing to dispose of the mutant.
TRIP and the mutant safe? It all seems to easy as ERIC catches up to them. Gone mad he says he wants to destroy the mutant cause he "looks" different. Infuriating TRIP, TRIP shows his true alien identity by taking off his hat. His only saying is if he's gonna destroy the mutant he might as well destroy him too. ERIC fakes off a off target blast showing to the Rangers he actually cares. Unfortunately FRAX is snooping around and sets of his device forcing Nodacon to go crazy! TRIP morphs and with the Rangers suffers the terrible blasts from the mutant.
The mutant grows... TRIP with a plan they form the SHADOW FORCE Megazord Mode Red, TRIP leaves the cockpit with the electo-booster. From down below he tries to lock target on the device controlling Nodacon.
FRAX attacks TRIP but no worries ERIC arrives to help summoning the Q-Rex in time to help position the mutant in way of TRIP's view so he can blast that device.
Success indeed... the Rangers shrink him with their Blizzard Slash attack from the megazord. TRIP does the honor of putting him into containment just then does ERIC drive by threatening that next time a mutant attacks he's sure to destroy it. As he goes away TRIP explains how he is actually lonely inside and not mean. WES reflects on that as he watches ERIC drive away.
